About Quiltro A+D
Quiltro A+D is owned and operated by yours truly, Tanner Townsend. In 2006 I graduated from Washington State University with an architecture degree in one hand and big plans in the other. I moved to Seattle and spent the next seven years cutting my teeth on large commercial projects.
Rather unexpectedly, I changed careers in 2013 and went to work as a firefighter/EMT. Absolutely in love with my new career but still enjoying the design world, I started Quiltro A+D as a side hustle, taking on just a few projects a year. In 2021 that side hustle morphed into a full-time endeavor. As a one man operation, I walk side-by-side with my clients from day one of the design process until the contractor hands over the keys to a finished product.
My favorite style is what I refer to as "warm modern" but I have crafted buildings of all types. Whether the project is residential or commercial, the goal remains the same: to design beautiful structures and spaces that meet the needs of the occupants in a manner that inspires them. A good building encourages life. It should be used and occasionally abused.
As a Christian, I believe that the things we create should always point us toward The Creator and that doesn't happen if the object is too precious to use. So, let's have some fun and design something cool in the process!
